Summer kicked off with speakers and socializing for the more than 3,000 designers who attended Dribbble Meetups world-wide in June—with 15 events spanning 11 countries. Our amazing hosts talk about the meetups in their own words below, check it out.

“On June 5th, we hosted our first Dribbble meetup, a gathering of sorts with other designers. We wrangled up a couple of our super dope designers from the SF office, Jenny Johannesson & Robbin Cenijn. We ordered some pizza, picked up some cheese, and made sure the beer (and La Croix) was flowing.
It was great to to meet some new faces, and catch up with designers we’ve pushed pixels with along the way. The music was great, the vibes were pumpin, we even created our own Snapchat filter. And did we mention we had a ton of pizza?”

“We hosted 1000+ guests, and it was the biggest Meetup in Ukraine. We had a lot of activities: skimboarding, volleyball, frisbee, sumo, water pistols, table tennis, balance sheets, and a big party. At the Meetup were 4 speakers: Anton Abo, Sergii Valiukh, Vet Orso, Max Shirko. And 19 partners.
This year we chose an unusual format for the Meetup – a huge beach party. It was really great for designers to get acquainted, relax, communicate, and listen to interesting performances by speakers while relaxing on the beach!”

“We had several discussion topics including: freelancing and designer interaction with clients, design to development workflow, and how to make the most of your Dribbble portfolio. Our speakers included Joshua Oluwagbemiga, Imogie Mubarak, and Amodu Temitope.
Being the first Dribbble Meetup in Lagos, this was a great opportunity to meet the faces behind the profiles and talk about design and the community.”

“20+ creatives came together early on Saturday to take on the OrlandoiX T-shirt Design Challenge. This is the second year OrlandoiX and the Dribbble Orlando Meetup partner to bring the most creative design to life at their VR, AR, Video Games, and Digital Entertainment conference coming this August 17-20th.
Top designs are now up for public voting for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes! 1st place will be printed and showcased during the conference.

“We had three talks, the first one, by Sebastien Navizet about Branding as a Journey. The second one was an Introduction to Atomic-design by Nicolas Meuzard. The third one was by Francois Chay on how they empowered our teams to discover and tackle problems by themselves.
The attendees seemed pleased - by the talks, the beers and the pizzas! Even if it was during one of the hottest days of the year, people came and were amazing! Because of the heat, we gave away ice-cream (thanks Adam!) And they all left with a good dose of Dribbble & Algolia Swag!
