Fintech Mobile App UX Design

About this Service

The displayed price and timeline are indicative, based on our experience with comparable projects. We discuss the scope, final cost and delivery schedule for each project individually.

UITOP designs mobile experiences for fintech and financial software products. We work with product teams whose customers need to connect an account, review financial information or complete a transaction on a phone. The design has to reflect what the underlying system knows at each step and what the user is allowed to do next.

Our starting engagement focuses on one connected mobile workflow in your existing product or defined prototype. We examine its current screens, product rules and technical responses with your team. Then we design the selected journey and the states your engineers need to implement it.

When This Service Fits

  • A customer sees an amount or account state but cannot find the source or last update.

  • A transaction screen confirms an action before the product has a final result.

  • Onboarding, account connection or verification interrupts the financial task the customer came to complete.

  • Different roles have different access, while the mobile interface presents the same actions to everyone.

  • Your team has working product logic and an engineering process, but the mobile journey needs design before the next release.

What Your Team Receives

  • Review of the chosen mobile journey, current screens, representative data and product rules.

  • Mapping of user actions, system responses and points that require a decision or confirmation.

  • UX/UI for the agreed mobile screens and their relevant loading, pending, error and completion states.

  • Reusable patterns for financial figures, accounts, status and action summaries in that journey.

  • A clickable or functional prototype using representative, masked financial examples.

  • Interaction notes, open technical questions and a walkthrough with product and engineering.

We agree the workflow, user roles, device and product surface before design begins. A complete mobile app, new financial backend, provider integration and production implementation require their own scope.

Show the State Behind the Financial Action

A customer may tap “connect,” “send” or “confirm,” while another system still processes the request. We map the response your product can confirm at each step. An instruction submitted for processing needs a different message from a completed financial action.

For the selected journey, we review the labels, amounts and dates shown on mobile against the records your team provides. We define what happens if a response is delayed, an account needs attention or a transaction cannot proceed. Your product and engineering owners verify the underlying rules.

Design the Review and Recovery Steps

Before a user commits to a financial action, the screen should present the information that your product requires them to check. This might be a recipient and transfer amount, an account being linked, or the transaction record selected for review. We design that step around the chosen task and your approved terms.

If the action fails or needs more information, we show the next permitted step. A retry should follow the rules of the connected service and avoid suggesting that a second financial action succeeded when the first result is still uncertain. We document these states with engineering before finalizing the interaction.

Work Inside Your Existing Product

We review how the mobile journey connects to the rest of your product, including the source of financial figures, account permissions and existing components. If a customer begins on web and continues on a phone, we define the handoff for the specific task in scope. Product, compliance and engineering stakeholders confirm the information the interface can show.

Our designer can work directly in your prototype, create a functional artifact in Claude or another agreed tool, or prepare Figma files. We use the format your development team can inspect and carry forward. A prototype may simulate financial responses; we label the simulation during review.

Relevant UITOP Work

UITOP designed TangoPay, an international money-transfer product with mobile document capture, rate calculation, transfer steps and transaction history. The published case shows our work on the customer-facing decisions around sending and following a transfer.

UITOP also designed and developed Pacioli for an accounting firm. Its React Native client app lets customers connect their bank accounts to the accounting product. That project gives our team direct experience with a financial mobile journey connected to a larger working platform.

Those cases inform our design approach; each new product has its own providers, financial records and permission rules. We use your system's confirmed behavior to shape the screens and states in this engagement.

Review One Journey With Your Team

We walk through the chosen mobile task with representative records and relevant exceptions. Your team checks the information shown before an action, the state after submission and any follow-up the customer can take. The approved screens, prototype and behavior notes then give engineering a defined design to work from.
