About this Service
The displayed price and timeline are indicative, based on our experience with comparable projects. We discuss the scope, final cost and delivery schedule for each project individually.
UITOP designs mobile medication experiences for healthcare product teams. We work on the daily path between a prescription and the patient's next action: finding the medicine, reading the approved instructions, checking when a dose is due and recording what happened. The product has to make those steps understandable while preserving the meaning of the information supplied by the care team.
The first design phase covers one medication journey in your existing app or prototype. We review your prescription data, scheduling rules, user roles and current screens with the people responsible for them. Those inputs define the fields, states and actions included in the design.
When This Service Fits
A patient sees a reminder but has to look elsewhere for the medicine, dose or relevant instruction.
Several medicines have different schedules, and the daily view makes them hard to distinguish.
The app treats a sent reminder as evidence that the patient took a dose.
A prescription changes, but the relationship between the new schedule and earlier entries is unclear.
Patients and clinicians need different views of the same medication history.
What Your Team Receives
Review of the selected patient journey, existing app and available prescription data.
A map of medicine, instruction, schedule and patient-reported dose states.
UX/UI design for the agreed prescription card, daily schedule, dose action and history screens.
Relevant pending, skipped, overdue, changed-prescription and missing-data states based on your rules.
Display patterns for medication name, dose, timing and instructions verified by your domain team.
Reusable mobile components for cards, schedule entries, status and action feedback.
A clickable or functional prototype using representative, approved examples.
Interaction notes and a review with product, clinical and engineering stakeholders.
We agree the medication scenarios, roles and screens included in the phase. Prescribing logic, clinical validation, live notification delivery and application development require their own scope.
Keep the Prescription With the Daily Task
We organize the selected medicine view around the details a patient needs to check before acting. The approved name, dose, timing and instructions stay connected to the same prescription record. If your product uses a different label or presentation for a field, we review it with the team that owns the medication content.
For a daily schedule, we show which entry is due and how the patient reaches its full instructions. If there are several medicines, the interface should keep each one's details and current status identifiable. Your clinical and product teams define the underlying regimen and which actions the patient can take.
Show What Happened After a Reminder
A reminder reaching a phone and a person reporting that they took medicine are separate events. We map the states your product records and design the feedback that follows a patient's action. If the system supports skipped, delayed or uncertain entries, we define how those are shown in the selected flow.
The app should also explain when an action has not been saved or when its status is still pending. We review those responses against your existing data model and technical behavior. A prototype can demonstrate the interaction using sample events; it is labeled as a simulation during review.
Preserve Context When a Schedule Changes
Medication routines may change during treatment. We examine how your product represents the current prescription, the start of a new schedule and earlier records. The patient should be able to recognize which instructions apply now and which entries belong to a previous period, according to the rules your team approves.
If a clinician needs to review patient updates, we define which information from this flow is shared with that role. The scope can remain focused on the patient mobile experience while documenting the professional view and permissions that it depends on.
Work With Your Product Process
We review your current app, terminology, component library and representative records. Clinical and product stakeholders verify the content and actions; engineering confirms the available states and data. We walk through the chosen examples before approving the screens and behavior notes.
Our designer can work directly in your prototype, create a functional artifact in Claude or another agreed tool, or prepare Figma files. We deliver the patterns and interaction details in a format your developers use. Any sample medicine, dosage or schedule in a prototype must be approved for review and clearly identified as example content.
Relevant UITOP Work
UITOP designed Impruvon Health, a mobile medication-management product with separate patient and doctor experiences. The published design case covers prescription cards, medicine scheduling, patient accounts, doctor views and reusable components. Our work addressed how dosage and timing appear within the wider treatment journey on a phone.
That experience informs our approach to the selected flow. The medication rules, clinical wording, access and technical delivery for a new product must be established with its own responsible teams.
Review the Medication Journey
We check how a patient finds the next scheduled entry, reads the relevant instructions, records an action and later recognizes that record in history. We also review the selected change and exception states with the people who own the product's clinical and technical rules.
