Senior Product Designer incl. Motion&AI

We're hiring a full-time Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) to lead end-to-end design on our product. This is a long-term, 40-hour-per-week role, not a short project. You'll own UX and UI from early exploration in Figma, through motion and interaction details in After Effects or Rive, to shipping polished work tracked through Jira. This role is for a designer who treats UX/UI as a system, integrates AI tools into daily craft, and can drive projects forward independently in a remote, async environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead UX and UI design across product surfaces, from wireframes and user flows to pixel-perfect UI in Figma.

  • Design and produce motion and interaction work in After Effects and/or Rive (micro-interactions, UI transitions, onboarding animations, Lottie exports).

  • Translate user needs and product requirements into intuitive UX patterns and polished UI components.

  • Use AI tools (Midjourney, ChatGPT/Claude, Runway, Krea, v0, Figma AI, etc.) to accelerate ideation, prototyping, copy, and asset production.

  • Document decisions and manage your work in Jira, with clear tickets, well-scoped tasks, and status kept current.

  • Collaborate async with PMs and engineers to ship work that's both beautiful and technically sound.

  • Contribute to and evolve our UI design system.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of UX/UI or product design experience with a strong portfolio.

  • Expert Figma: components, variants, auto layout, variables, prototyping, library management.

  • Motion design in After Effects and/or Rive with shipped examples (Lottie, Rive runtime, or production motion assets).

  • Strong UX fundamentals: information architecture, user flows, interaction design, usability.Demonstrated use of AI tools in your design workflow.

  • You can speak clearly about where AI accelerates work and where taste still wins.

  • Comfortable working day-to-day in Jira.Excellent written communication for async, remote collaboration.

  • Self-directed, able to scope, plan, and ship with minimal oversight.

  • Availability to commit 40 hours per week long-term. This is a full-time engagement, not a side project.

Nice to Have

  • Experience maintaining a design system at scale.

  • Lottie pipeline experience and handoff to engineering for production motion.

  • User research experience.Front-end literacy (HTML/CSS, light React/Tailwind).

  • Brand or marketing design experience.

How to Apply

Please include in your proposal:

  • A link to your portfolio (required).

  • A short note on a UX/UI project you led and your specific role.

  • An example of motion work in After Effects or Rive you'd want to walk us through.

  • A few sentences on how you currently use AI in your design process.

  • Your hourly rate or monthly salary and confirmation that you can commit to 40 hours/week long-term.

  • Your time zone and typical working hours.

NOTE: Applications without a portfolio link will not be reviewed.
