My journey from a paste-up artist to a social post designer has been marked by numerous challenges and technological advancements in the commercial art world. It all began with my graduation from The University of Oklahoma (1987), landing a $6 an hour position in a commercial silk screen shop in Dallas. This initial experience was followed by a creative role at the Oklahoma State Department of Health's Education Office, and then I advanced to become the Art Director at Harcourt Brace College Publishers. After a few years of freelancing, I moved to San Francisco to study painting at the San Francisco Art Institute. I spent the next fifteen years teaching graphic design at The Art Institute of Dallas before returning to the industry as Creative Lead at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. My path eventually led me to the restaurant supply sector, where I contributed to both H2 Creative Group and AmerCareRoyal.
