Who are you?
Hi! My name is Andrea, I am an independent logo and brand identity designer, from the most northern point of Serbia. When not at my desk, I enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling to new places. This is how I “charge my batteries” and source a huge amount of inspiration and creativity.
What are you working on?
At the moment, I am working on a very interesting branding project together with Kristijan Binski, who’s going to be in charge of website design and development. My responsibilities include a company logo, product packaging, wine labels, and Illustrations. The client is based in Oregon, where they are running their own family vineyard. It feels pretty amazing to create visuals that will represent the new company and it’s products - that’s probably the best part of being a designer.

I have received a very positive feedback on my ananas project, which gave me a lot of exposure, and it was featured in many articles, collections, and even books. Feel free to check out the full presentation.
Tell us about your setup. What tools did you use to create the shot (e.g. hardware, software, pens, paper, blowtorch)?
My setup consists of a Bekant sit/stand desk, 27” Dell monitor, Toshiba laptop running on Windows 10 OS, wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse, Wacom Intuos Pro Medium tablet, and of course a pencil and my mini notepad. I take that notepad anywhere I go, especially on overseas flights. It’s my number one thing to pack— after my passport obviously.
Ninety percent Of my work is done in Adobe Illustrator but I also use Photoshop for presentations, photo editing, cropping, exporting gif animations etc. Recently I’ve started using an iOS mobile app made by Adobe, it’s called Adobe Capture. When I am outside, I can always snap a photo if any color combination or scene inspires me, and inside the app, I can customize those colors to create my own scheme made of 5 colors.
My process always starts with the pen and paper, that’s for sure. I always start sketching ideas and let my brain communicate with the hand. No matter what needs to be designed, I find it so much easier and quicker to draw the ideas on a piece of paper than jumping straight to a digital version. After I have my rough sketches done and if needed, I take my fancy sketching kit create a high-fidelity, polished version of it. I then take a photo of those final sketches and import them into Adobe Illustrator, and reduce the opacity to create a final digital version on top.

There are so many talented designers on Dribbble, and it’s really hard to name just one— but if I have to, I’ll say that Steve Wolf’s work inspires me the most. Again, I had a hard time choosing just one shot, but this one amazes me because it has everything: illustrations with super cool shading, vintage logo design, and perfectly balanced colors. The overall design looks very clean and professional.
