Research is the most important part of every project in the world. There must be some hypothesis behind your work on the storyboard of a video clip, a sketch on a logo design or the wireframe of a layout. And those hypotheses must be based on certain reasons, solid and detailed research is the key to back up those reasons.

When we are working on the video promo of the essential oil roll-on, the first question we ask ourselves is that what do we want the audience to feel when they first see the video. Do we want them to feel the product is reliable? Do we want them to appreciate the design? Or do we want to remind them, the clip they are watching got some similarity from another promotion video to trigger their interest to keep watching? We dig out the intent of our client and the intent becomes the research direction.

The rest of the process is to do hard work and iterations. When you know exactly the reason for heading to a specific direction, the implementation phase will be so much easier.
