029 - Siuroma Product Onboarding Page

Keyword: Onboarding

Imagine the situation that every time when you unpack a product you just bought, you either throw the packing away or look for the user menu for knowing how to use the product. It is a normal practice for most of the customers. As the product design profession, our job is to enrich the unboxing experience, which is called the onboarding process.

For digital products, onboarding normally means the introductory screens before entering the main interface. For physical products, onboarding most likely means the user menu or information printed on top of the packing.

In Unicorn Vision, when we design the onboarding experience, no matter it is a digital or a physical product, we will try to incorporate both offline and online experience when onboarding users. In the case of the essential oil roll-on product, we print a QR for a specific link on the product package, when a customer scans the QR code with their phone, we will land them on an interactive web page to let them know more about the product. It can save us the cost of printing the menu and have a better tracking mechanism on the performance of the landing pages.
