A site that launches well can still drift. A plugin falls behind, a page slows down, or a small bug shows up after a browser update. This retainer keeps a site (one we built, or one you brought to us) running the way it did on day one, without you having to track any of it yourself.
It's built for teams who don't want an in-house developer just to keep the lights on, but do want someone checking the site regularly and fixing what needs fixing before a visitor notices.
In the Package:
15 maintenance hours per month, committed and reserved for your site
- Monthly uptime, performance, and security checks
- Plugin, CMS, and dependency updates kept current
- Small bug fixes and content or copy updates as they come up
- A monthly health report: what was checked, what was fixed, and what to watch
- Priority handling for anything urgent, like the site going down or a broken checkout
Process & Communication:
We run a standing check each month on uptime, load speed, and security patches, and log what we find. Smaller requests, like a broken link or an outdated price, usually come in by email or a shared form and get handled within two business days.
If something urgent comes up, the site going down or checkout breaking, we look at it the same day. A request that turns out to be bigger than maintenance work gets scoped and quoted on its own rather than pulled from the retainer hours.
The Team:
A developer familiar with your site handles the account, with design support brought in for anything visual that comes up as part of a fix or update.
Contract:
This retainer runs month to month, with a 30-day notice to cancel or pause. Hours don't carry over: since the work is largely reactive, a quiet month simply means the site needed less attention. Anything beyond the monthly hours is quoted and confirmed with you before we start, not billed automatically. If the site was built by someone else, we ask for a short access and audit period in the first month before committing to response times.
Do you offer custom packages?
Yes. A larger or more complex site, with multiple environments, heavier traffic, or custom back-end work, may need more hours than a smaller brochure site. Send us the site and we'll size the retainer to match.
