About this Service
Most design needs show up as a steady trickle rather than a single project: a new landing section, an updated pitch deck, a set of social banners, a component that needs rethinking. This retainer covers that kind of work.
It's built for founders and teams who want a designer on call without opening a new scope and quote every time something comes up. You get a fixed block of hours each month, used flexibly across brand, web, or product design as your priorities shift.
In the Package:
20 design hours per month, committed and reserved for your account
- Work spans brand assets, web pages and sections, UI screens, and marketing or presentation design, as the month calls for it
- Direct access to your designer through a shared channel (Slack or email) for requests and quick check-ins
- A running task list so you always know what's in progress, queued, or done
- Priority scheduling ahead of new project inquiries
- A short monthly summary of hours used and what shipped
Process & Communication:
Each month opens with a short planning note covering what you want to get to and roughly how the hours will be spent. From there, requests come in as they come up. There's no need to batch them. We reply within one business day and give a plain estimate in hours before starting anything beyond a quick fix.
Hours are tracked openly and you can check the balance at any time. Anything outside normal design requests, a full new site build, for instance, gets scoped and quoted on its own rather than pulled from the retainer.
The Team:
You work with one senior designer as your main point of contact, with the rest of the Fantik team (motion, 3D, or dev) brought in as a specific task calls for it.
Contract:
Retainers run month to month on a rolling basis, with a 30-day notice to pause or cancel so we can wind down anything in progress cleanly. Unused hours don't carry over from one month to the next, though we can arrange occasional rollover of up to 5 hours case by case. Anything beyond the monthly hours is scoped and quoted before we start, not pulled from the next month automatically.
Do you offer custom packages?
Yes. If 20 hours a month runs short, or the work leans more technical than design, we can adjust the hours or move you to the Full-Time retainer or the maintenance retainer instead.
A fixed monthly design budget, used how you need it, without a new proposal every time something comes up.
