Peter Smyth

I'm a freelance illustrator specializing in clear lines and expressive designs, whether traditional or digital. My day job is as a PhD student at Ohio State, where I study the history of newspaper comics. I spend my time off in my studio, creating illustrations in a stark, cartoony style.

I've created magazine and chapbook covers for nonprofits, and I previously studied art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Chicago.
