Mehedi Shaikat

Mehedi Ahmed Shaikat is from Gopalganj, Bangladesh. He has
completed MVA in Graphic Arts(Printmaking) under the scholarship
program of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) from The
Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and did his BFA in
Printmaking at the Fine Arts Institute, Khulna University.
Throughout his life, Shaikat has always been fascinated by arts and
how the world is represented through the eyes of others. The
interest was cultivated during his childhood years and further
developed when he pursued his higher studies in Fine Arts.
Shaikat has extensive skills in most of the printmaking medium like
wood relief print, etching, aquatint, lithography, collagraph,
monoprint and he always like to do experiments with these
mediums along with colours and techniques.
He also enjoys doing drawings, sketches, paintings and
computer graphics designs. He is pretty much conscious about the
concept of every artwork because he believes that every artwork
should tell a story.
