In House Web Developer

We are a premier, high-growth employment law firm specializing in defending workers against workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, and hostile work environments. We are bringing our entire digital infrastructure completely in-house to build a deeply empathetic, highly engaging, and secure web presence. We are looking for an elite, dual-threat Web Developer and UI/UX Designer to spearhead this transition and own our technical roadmap.

The Role & Mission: Your primary project for the first 90 to 120 days will be completely rebuilding, designing, and safely migrating our digital assets away from a proprietary, closed-CMS provider (Scorpion) onto an open infrastructure (WordPress or Webflow) that our firm completely owns.

Post-migration, you will continuously optimize our site’s conversion rates, build high-security digital intake funnels for sensitive clients, design landing pages for multi-channel marketing campaigns, and ensure our web infrastructure remains blistering fast, secure, and ADA/WCAG compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Migration: Securely scrape, audit, and replicate all historical website content, blog posts, and media from our current proprietary host into a newly built, independent staging environment.

  • Premium UI/UX Design: Architect clean, accessible, and high-empathy user journeys in Figma. Implement features specifically optimized for sensitive legal users (e.g., desktop "Panic/Safe Exit" buttons and frictionless, secure multi-step consultation intake forms).

  • Technical SEO & Redirection: Map out a flawless 301/310 URL redirect strategy during launch to protect and elevate our historical Google search rankings.

  • Ongoing Optimization & Compliance: Continuously monitor website performance, core web vitals, and ensure absolute compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility laws to protect the firm from digital discrimination liabilities.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of professional experience as a Web Developer with a strong, proven portfolio in UI/UX interface design. (Prior experience inside a law firm, compliance agency, or healthcare entity is a massive plus).

  • CMS Mastery: Elite-level capabilities in custom WordPress development (via WP Engine/Elementor Pro) or Webflow.

  • Design Stack: High proficiency in Figma for wireframing and prototyping before writing code.

  • Frontend Languages: Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to build custom interactive elements beyond boilerplate templates.

  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep understanding of DNS management, SSL implementation, and handling secure data transfers.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional maturity and emotional intelligence to manage digital spaces dealing directly with sensitive topics like sexual harassment and civil rights violations.
