UI/UX Designer
About the Role
We're looking for a UI/UX Design Engineer who enjoys both designing user experiences and building them.
This isn't a traditional UI designer role, nor is it purely a frontend engineering position. You'll own the experience from concept to implementation—designing intuitive interfaces, creating polished interactions, and developing production-ready front-end components that bring those experiences to life.
You'll work closely with product, engineering, and AI creatives teams to build fast, elegant, and highly engaging user experiences for a consumer AI product.
What You'll Do
Design intuitive user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity interfaces.
Translate designs into responsive, production-ready front-end experiences.
Build and maintain reusable UI components and contribute to our design system.
Improve user experience by refining interactions, animations, accessibility, and visual consistency.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to rapidly prototype and iterate on new features.
Help shape the overall product experience through thoughtful design decisions and technical implementation.
Stay up to date with modern UI/UX trends, front-end technologies, and AI product experiences.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, frontend engineering, or Design Engineering.
Strong portfolio showcasing both product design and shipped web experiences.
Proficiency with Figma for UI/UX design and prototyping.
Strong frontend development skills using: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and React (preferred) or another modern frontend framework.
Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern web standards.
Experience creating reusable UI components and design systems.
Strong eye for typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, and interaction design.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid iteration.
Nice to Have
Experience with motion design and micro-interactions.
Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or modern CSS frameworks.
Experience building AI-powered products or consumer-facing SaaS applications.
Knowledge of animation libraries such as Framer Motion or GSAP.
Understanding of usability testing and UX research.
