Senior Product Designer
About us
Cherub is building the AI-powered relationship infrastructure for private capital, helping founders, investors, creators, and operators connect, raise, and build the future together. We are reimagining how modern dealmaking happens through community, distribution, relationships, and technology.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who has serious visual craft, strong systems thinking, and is genuinely excited about owning design at a company that sits at the intersection of consumer, creator, and finance. This is not a role where you'll be one designer among many. You are the design function, and what you build shapes what Cherub becomes.
What you’ll do:
Own Cherub's visual experience end to end, from product design, brand, and sometimes physical touchpoints like events and swag because we’re a small and scrappy team
Inherit, refine, and extend our Figma component library and design system
Work directly with our co-founder (product) and founding engineer to ship designs to production regularly
Drive the look and feel of new product features from concept through to shipped
Propose and push new ideas into the roadmap: we expect you to add to it, not just execute on it
Collaborate with the co-founder on brand storytelling through the product experience
Help extend the Cherub identity across channels and contexts as we grow
You might be a fit if you...
Have a sharp eye and know the difference between good and great, and care about the gap.
Think in systems. Component libraries and design tokens feel like creative leverage to you, not admin.
Use AI tools as a real part of your workflow. You've formed opinions about where they fall short, and you hold a higher bar than what they produce on default.
You not only know what a skill or agent is, but you use them in your current workflows.
Find the line between quality and speed and live on it.
Can point to consumer products you've designed that feel premium, considered, and distinctly not generic.
Thrive in small teams where you own the outcome, not just the task.
Are genuinely curious about the creator economy, angel investing, or early-stage startups as a world you want to get closer to.
Bonus Points
Experience extending a brand across physical or experiential touchpoints (we do a lot of events)
Experience with front-end development
Background in or strong knowledge of consumer fintech, creator platforms, or social products
Experience working in or alongside a small founding team
What we're looking for
3+ years designing consumer-facing products. The path here could look like a lot of things: freelance with a strong client roster, an early or founding design role at a small startup, or time at a larger company where you were genuinely close to the product and are ready for more ownership. What matters most is the work. Your portfolio should show strong taste, craft, and range, and it should feel current.
This probably isn't the right fit if:
You need a detailed brief before you can get started
You're looking for the structure of a larger company in a startup-sized package
You want clear lines between your job and everyone else's
Good enough is good enough for you
Benefits & Salary
$100,000–$125,000 base salary dependent on experience, plus .1-.5% equity with real upside. We cover your health insurance and offer flexible PTO. We're also fully remote. You must be US-based and authorized to work in the United States. We're not able to sponsor visas at this time.
How we work
We move before we're told to. High agency isn't a perk here, it's the job. We own outcomes, not tasks, and we'd rather you try something and course-correct than wait around for a green light.
We're craftspeople. We ship fast and sometimes it's imperfect, but at the end of a hard sprint you should be able to point at what you made and mean it. Generic isn't good enough here.
We stay curious. Everything is moving fast: platforms, markets, AI. The best people here are students of their craft whether or not anyone asked them to be.
We operate with integrity. No politics, no ego, no blame. We're honest with each other and with the people trusting us with real money, real connections, and real access.
We earn the trust we're given. This company is small, the mission is big, and every person here carries real weight. We don't micro manage you. We trust you. Don't make us regret it.
