Position Overview: We’re seeking an experienced Apparel Graphic Designer to design and develop unique collections, collaborating with athletes and the creative team. You’ll be responsible for turning concepts into high-quality, production-ready designs that reflect both streetwear trends and athlete branding. This role requires a designer with a passion for apparel, an eye for trends, and the ability to deliver cohesive and compelling collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Apparel Collections: Conceptualize and create graphics, prints, and apparel designs for new collections, ensuring they align with AX’s brand identity and athlete-driven themes.
Collaborate with Athletes: Work closely with athletes and the design team to translate their brand and story into apparel that resonates with their fans.
Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date on fashion, streetwear, and sportswear trends to ensure designs are fresh, modern, and competitive in the market.
Production-Ready Design: Ensure all designs are production-ready by preparing files for screen printing, embroidery, Direct-to-Garment (DTG), and other methods of apparel production.
Collection Presentation: Create mockups, lookbooks, and presentation materials to showcase new collections and ideas internally and to partners.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, social media, and product development teams to ensure designs meet campaign and brand objectives.
Design Consistency: Ensure visual consistency across different products and collections, from t-shirts and hoodies to hats and accessories.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in apparel or graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing streetwear and collection design.
Skills: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and a strong understanding of apparel production techniques.
Creativity: Ability to create unique and bold designs that align with both athlete branding and streetwear trends.
Trend Awareness: Strong understanding of current fashion, streetwear, and sportswear trends and the ability to translate those into marketable apparel.
Detail-Oriented: Ability to prepare precise, production-ready design files and follow through on details from concept to final product.
Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams, including athletes, designers, and marketing professionals.
