Develop a complete brand identity and product experience for an independent, founder-run fragrance house serving Europe and the Middle East. Position the brand within premium niche fragrance, with direct-to-consumer sales and selective concept-store distribution. Give the physical products, their use and the customer journey equal attention to the visual identity.
Build the creative direction around presence and trace: the personal act of wearing fragrance, how it accompanies someone through their day, and what lingers after they leave. Develop a clear story that connects this idea to the products, packaging, language and everyday rituals. The aesthetic should feel contemporary and restrained, with considered retro references, tactile character and a recognizable point of view.
Define the audience through their relationship with fragrance, without gender stereotypes. Include people who already have a favourite perfume and want new ways to enjoy scent, as well as those discovering their own preferences. Make the brand's appeal and the role of each product easy to understand.
Product experience is a central design task. Establish the purpose of each proposed format, including oils, balms and perfumes: when someone would reach for it, how they would apply it and why it deserves a place in their routine. Design the experience of opening, holding, dispensing, applying, carrying and reapplying. Consider the feel of materials, applicator control, comfortable handling, secure closures and portability. Assess opportunities for refilling or reuse where they make practical sense.
Connect discovery, sampling and full-size purchase into one coherent journey. Help customers understand the scents, choose a starting point and use each format confidently. Develop clear usage guidance, including any supported combinations with an existing fragrance. Packaging should make gifting enjoyable and repeat use convenient. Explain how the experience translates to both an online purchase and a concept-store encounter.
The voice should be warm, direct, curious and human, using short conversational lines, occasional playful poetry and natural humour. Avoid perfumery jargon, generic luxury language and unsupported performance claims. Arab perfumery traditions may inform the work where relevant to the brand's story, without tourist imagery or cultural clichés. Do not use the term “oriental.”
Create a visual and packaging system that accommodates English, Spanish, Arabic and French, with proper right-to-left layouts for Arabic. Maintain legibility at the scale of a 3 ml sample vial, establish a clear hierarchy across formats, and reserve appropriate space for product, batch and required label information.
Present a coherent creative direction with a clear rationale, realistic product and packaging visualization, material and finish proposals, and examples of key customer touchpoints. Show how the design decisions improve use, express our story and work within credible manufacturing constraints. Clearly distinguish established product specifications from proposals that need prototyping or testing
