Ariane Mohabir

Hi, my name is Ariane and I'm a freelance visual designer with 3 years of work experience and big dreams for the future. Not my future specifically, but THE future, our future. I like to say, "she who makes the maps makes the future" because I believe that design is both aesthetic and mechanistic. Meaning, the aesthetic exploration and decisions made by designers play a mechanistic role in shaping the world they become physicalized in. 

As a recent graduate of UCSD, with a BS in Cognitive Science (Design & Interaction Specialization) and a minor in Speculative Design, my work focuses on pushing the boundaries of what we consider to be "cognition", expanding the definition of an interface, and applying my knowledge of synaptic and perceptual neuro systems to design interactions.
