Biography
Cartoonist, illustrator and graphic designer.
TAVO (born Maurilio Tavormina, class '78).
He lives, writes and draws comics in Genoa.
The soul of a vespista, the face of a boxer and the shoulders of a swimmer, he dreams of learning to play the trumpet.
In 2018, thanks to Edizioni Messaggero Padova, he publishes the comic book "Il Saio di Francesco" as a single author, previously published as a focus on "Il Messaggero dei Ragazzi" and winner, in 2016, of the "Faith in stripes" award in the XI edition of comic festival “Cartoon Club Rimini” - XI edition.
Chrononaut by vocation, he has led young and old readers to wander through time with his comic tourist guides: "Ancient Rome in comics", "Pompeii - between past and present" and
“The tourists of the time: hidden Rome” for the Vision srl publishing house - Rome.
He collaborated with Il Messaggero dei Ragazzi and DeAgostini publisher.
He has many plans for the future and hopes that as many have the future for him.
As soon as he can he goes to the sea.
