Daily UI Challenge - (03) Movie app
Hey everyone !
This is a ‘Mobile app’ concept created by me using Adobe Xd. It was a part of the 10 day UI challenge taken up by me.
I took up this challenge to enhance my UI skills and challenge myself daily by creating engaging, aesthetic and usable interfaces.

▪️ The intent of designing this concept was to create an aesthetic yet usable mobile application for watching movies and series, primarily aimed at the ‘millennials’ who based on my research were found to be the highest adopters of innovative concepts. After a detailed secondary research, it was found that there were not many great looking yet usable apps to watch movies and series, whereas the target audience wanted one such app. Mentioned below are the detailed points about my thought process.
▪️ Keeping in mind the persona of the target audience, I used popping yet minimal colors resulting in a funky look which would attract the target users. A carousel with top-movie recommendations and a simple toggle placed on the top in the home-screen to switch between mediums.
▪️ I strategically placed a search FAB on the bottom right for easy accessibility. Added a bookmark & wishlist icon at relevant areas on the screens keeping in mind the consumer behaviour. I also added a notification icon for timely updates so that the user is engaged with the app which would potentially reduce the drop-off rate. Lastly I placed relevant data points on all screens for the user to take well informed decisions.
