Visible multi-level categories - A navigation solution in UI

Creating a solution for a visible multi-level categories navigation is tricky in an information rich eDetail app.

I came up with this solution to keep the user aware of his/her position in the content flow and to navigate quickly, easily and in the minimum number of steps to other sections / categories.

What do you think? Can it be implemented in a better way?
