There aren’t a lot of action movies that come to a screeching halt to have a game of golf. Personally, I love it when Bond engages in sports or cards with the villain. It’s one of my favorite tropes of the series, even the horseback riding obstacle coarse in A View to a Kill. Speaking of A View to a Kill. I was in San Francisco last weekend for Sketchfest and caught a live recording of James Bonding with Matt Gourley and Matt Mira. The venue was so close to Fisherman’s Wharf that my wife and I took a stroll over to the dock where Bond meets up with CIA contact Chuck Lee. I’ve never gone looking for filming locations before but it’s pretty easy now thanks to the internet and GPS.
