Horus on the sun

Horus or Her, Heru, Hor in ancient Egyptian, is one of the most important ancient Egyptian symbols, various forms of Horus are recorded in history and are treated as distinct symbols by Egyptologists. These different forms may be different manifestations of the same multi-layered symbol in which certain features or acquaintances are emphasized, not necessarily in opposition but complementary to each other, in line with how the ancient Egyptians viewed the multiple aspects of reality. He was often depicted as a hawk, or more likely a hawk or a fasting hawk, or as a man with a hawk head.
