Ignite Logo

This is a logo for my youth group 'Ignite' that we are about to launch with. We are using the raw elements in a bunch of different surfaces and backgrounds (see attached image).

I really like the shape of the flame but I am looking at ways to improve it... I have also considered making it 3D. What are your thoughts? How can I make this logo a little more 'exciting'?
