Hydradermabrasion

A client in the noninvasive skincare industry was looking for a redesign for a class 1 medical device that gave hydradermabrasion treatments. The components were outdated and the user control of the device was moving away from an analog functionality (switches and buttons) to a digital functionality (all controls are on-screen). The client asked for in-depth UX design, UI, industrial design, and mechanical engineering to update the device and create a more user-friendly experience. The overall challenge was to create a new machine and interface that would create a streamlined experience without compromising how the user already interacted with the machine.
