Kickstarter Popup Log In Concept

Currently on the Kickstarter website, when the user attempts to log in to their account, they are brought to a new page after clicking the cta. I thought of eliminating that extra screen, and include a popup screen for the user to log in/ sign up as oppose to leaving the homepage.
