Xero

I came up with a mobile app idea which attempts in engage the community in reducing waste by learning, sharing ideas for reducing and reusing waste and giveaway excess items.

I considered to use the symbol of recycle and associate it with leaves and the colors of the each leaf resembles the three known elements of waste management; reuse, reduce and recycle. The name Xero is a combination of zero (for zero waste) and the "X" is future, together implying the message "a future with zero waste".
