Podcast Guest Recommendation Library

The marketing department enlisted me to help them figure out a way to display the vast and growing list of books recommended by The Sales Leadership Podcast guests on the Xvoyant marketing site. They were stuck trying to figure out a layout that allows for several dozen titles (and growing every week), is visually compelling, and very browsable.

I used sites like Audible and Goodreads for initial inspiration. However, I liked the idea of having the titles use a uniform size/aspect ratio (as opposed to Audible) in order to not give overdue prominence to one title or another.

This layout is also very maintainable in that the content manager can just grab cover images, titles, and summaries straight from amazon (and link to the amazon page as well).

I also provided SCSS code for forcing the uniform aspect ratio for the cover images (using object-fit) as they all vary slightly.
