Johnnie Walker Blue Label Smart Bottle App – UX & UI

We took a lean UX approach to this interactive bottle app. We needed to be light and adaptive and we had a short timeframe to get the app to market. Multi-discipline teams used a series of weekly workshops and sprints to understand how a connected bottle could offer value to Blue Label customers.
The biggest challenge was that we could not speak directly to the target demographic easily – affluent Thai business people and their assistants. Instead, we looked at their attitudes and behaviours via social media and online research and built proto-personas, with the help of the brand managers in Asia.
