PUMA X The Godfather

Puma made me an offer I couldn’t refuse! It was an honour to be asked to create a set of illustrations for Puma’s latest collaboration with The Godfather movie.

We tried to stay as faithful as possible to Gordon Willis’s use of Chiaroscuro lighting and cinematography of shadows, and therefore we plunged half of the illustration into darkness. The world of the Godfather is a world of hard rules and hard consequences and thus we chose to use knife-sharp geometric lines to visually reinforce this idea. ⁣

As well as the Louis trainer pictured, the collaboration also includes t-shirts and hoodies too. Make sure you go and check it out on Puma’s website – otherwise I’ll have to question what I did to deserve such disrespect.⁣ 🤵🏻🌹🐴
