Multitasking in Design Illustration

Multitasking has always been a subject of hot debates, in design as well. Is it good to work on several projects at the same time or is it better to focus on one of them only? Is it ok to do several operations at the same time or is it more productive to do it one after another? Who do you side with, monotaskers or multitaskers in design?
