Landing Page for a new URL Shortener

This is a shot of a landing page I am working on for a client of a new URL Shortener specifically for web development links called "wdev.us"

I need you guys' opinion on how it looks. The client is pretty pleased but he said the middle part that says "wdev.us""a new kind of url shortener""specifically for web development news" should be less prominent and the links section (the bottom part with the underlined text, under the big white box) should be more prominent.

Also the about button is in the pressed state and the login button is in the hover state
