Mobile App Design Concept for Travelear

Have you heard about Travelear? Maybe you saw my recent shot where I shared a few screens of the mobile app I designed for them. What you see above is the animated version of this design experiment.

Travelear started on Kickstarter as a library of 3D Soundscapes recorded around the world. Now it's a mobile app that allows you to experience the sound of any area or city in the world taking your ears on an adventure like never before! Wanna take a trip down to New Orleans jazz-filled streets or simply sit back and relax on your porch as a summer thunderstorm passes by? Easy. This app will make you feel like you are actually there.

So, yeah, I loved the idea, and it inspired me to experiment on how Travelear mobile app could look. In my imagination it was a clean, minimal and stylish app. And a bit weird too, because the idea is a bit weird itself, in a good way, and just because I like weird. I also thought there should definitely be a map with all the recorded locations tagged in it and some sick visuals to represent each location. I used the pics by eburnsid as they represent the same style I wanted to convey with my design.
