Rebase Web App

Creating Rebase, we had two guiding principles: users should be able to work from any internet connected device that had a screen and have access to all data and features, no matter the screen size. To realize this, we decided to build Rebase as a web app. In terms of UI/UX design, this choice meant that the user interface had to be completely responsive, and in terms of user experience, we had to find a way to present complex data on a small screen.

To deliver on both principles we standardized available screen real estate by dividing it in 12 columns. Based on that, we created a UI/UX that behaved responsive without losing functionality. The fact that we launched the platform for the Hong Kong market, meant that we had to create a product in three languages: Traditional Chinese, English and Mandarin Chinese. This too was factored in, creating the user experience, ensuring that there are no awkward word breaks or text overflows.
