Share Bleacher Report Content to Instagram Stories
We recently shipped a feature in the Bleacher Report app that allows enables users to share content directly to Instagram Stories. While the scope of the project was pretty straightforward, one of the main challenges was how to make our stories look different from Instagram content. Because Instagram posts can also be shared to a user’s story, we needed something to set our shared content apart from Instagram content. The result was generating a blurred background layer using the article image to make it unique to the story and to Bleacher Report content. By placing the content directly into Instagram Stories, we hope that users will get creative with stickers, gifs, and more to express their reactions, fandom and to engage with their followers.
