White Poker
While practicing I had this idea of questioning some of the norms we have for digital gambling games.
When we think of these gamble games, we always have a very similar visual language that is derived from the physical appearance of these games. So, I asked the question of why do the player needs to see the poker table to play this game? Does it really have a value for the player?
So, the result is White Poker! I aimed to eliminate as much visual elements as possible compared to a traditional poker application. I left only the functional aspects of poker to let the player focus on the important bits that we display on the screens.
I would love to hear your opinion on this one. Do you think if this approach would work on a real product? Do 'we' as players still want to have this real world connections while using digital applications?
