This sleek, streamlined font has roots that start all the way back to the J.E. Hamilton Holly Wood Type Company in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Founded in 1880 by J. Edward Hamilton, the Hamilton factory quickly became the largest manufacturer of wood type in the United States.
Edward’s legacy is carried on in the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum on the sunny shores of Lake Michigan. Font Seed is honored to revive this handsome face to honor Hamilton’s historic impact on the world of type. Half of all sales will directly support the Museum.
