Austin Polish Film Festival Rebrand

The Austin Polish Film Festival event rebrand.
The Festival is an annual celebration of Polish culture and filmmakers. The Austin Polish Film Festival has showcased a wide variety of Polish films for over a decade in Austin, most recently including “Cold War,” a film that went on to earn an Oscar nomination.
Illustrations for the Film Festival are derived from vibrant traditional Polish Folk Art. I wanted Polish Austinites to feel nostalgic, and honor the traditional folk art of Poland. I was really inspired by the things I saw growing up: folk art on placemats, notebooks, curtains, decorative eggs (???), and so much more. What I wanted most out of this project was to make my grandma happy and excited and proud of where she and my mom come from, and her telling me how much she loved it all made my heart quite happy.
