Grigio Logo

Logo for a company that sells concrete furniture online.

Grigio is the Italian word for "grey," and relates to the colour of concrete. Their target market is "middle to high segment."

I decided to break the name Grigio into its syllables Gri-Gio so that in reading the logo, its pronunciation comes naturally.

Conceptually, I felt it was important to ensure that the logomark made a strong visual reference to the unique qualities of concrete furniture - in this case the texture of exposed aggregate in a sample of polished concrete.

I also experimented with the concept of color swatches, which relates well to the brand name "grigio"- except the grey effect in the logo is a result of the speckled shading of the concrete aggregate.
