Coral Carpooling App

The inspiration for this carpooling app struck me recently, during the most chaotic queue I've ever waited in.

As the metal barriers separating the queues were so wide, impatient people from behind pushed past those standing ahead of them. A single line merged into two lines, then three, then pure traffic.

After this event, not only did I want to redesign the check point's queue barriers to make the space between them wide enough for one person at a time, but I began thinking about how to avoid and reduce the chances of a queue crisis like this in the future.

I then learned that should one drive a private vehicle through this border, that both driver and passengers do not have to leave their vehicle, but simply present their ID's at check point through a window. And that led me to think about the efficiency and benefits of carpooling.

Therefore, you could say this sample of UI design is very much motivated by a desire to solve some very real pain points!
