O For OCD
O is for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (or OCD) 👀 this can interfere with a person’s life and be a huge source of anxiety. It’s usually perceived as “wanting everything neat and symmetrical” but OCD can mean other compulsions and repetitive behaviors (for example: closing your door 8 times every time you enter a room).

Not all rituals or habits are compulsions. Everyone double checks things sometimes. But a person with OCD generally can't control his or her thoughts or behaviors, and doesn’t get pleasure when performing the behaviors or rituals, but may feel brief relief from the anxiety the thoughts cause

Therapy and treatment for OCD is a long process, as it deals with deeply rooted rituals and routines.
