Cafe Brulot

Brulot, literally translated, means burnt brandy. In Louisiana, and particularly in New Orleans, Cafe Brulot was frequently served with their room in darkness, as according to Lafeadio Hearn, “The crowning of a grand dinner... the piece de resistance, the greatest pousse-cafe of all.”
