Figma | Font Previews

I love Figma as much as the next designer, but there are a few things I wish would change.

For example, Id like the ability to preview other font styles in the open font pane. Currently, the font selector doesn't give you a preview of other text styles. When open, it just presents a list of all the other font names. If you are like me, you have a ton of fonts loaded and don't remember the individual styling of each. This shot is just me playing around with different options on how a potential solution could work.

The more I thought about this, the more I'm wondering if it's even worth it. Being able to see the other font styles when the font window is open was nice, but it was also a bit overwhelming. Here are the two options I tried. You can also take a look at the @Figma file here.

What if - 1: An option where the text pane displayed previews of each font by default when open.

What if - 2: An option where the pane remained as it currently is, but the selected font would preview the hovered font in the open pane.
