Herr VonFrankfurter

A good friend is departing Germany soon and heading back to The States after five years in Frankfurt. This faux-antique painting was his going away gift. It's full of fun details and inside jokes. ⁣Apologies to 18th centruy Italian painter Pompeo Batoni. His 1778 portrait of Francis Basset, Baron of Dunstanville, served as a base layer for my Photoshop shenanigans. I then added dozens and dozens of layers of digital 'paint' with my Wacom tablet. It reminded me of when I used to paint with actual oils on actual canvas. (But this time I had Command-Z. So much easier than lots of linseed oil!)⁣
