She Saves the World

Sharing a project from the archives in honor of International Women's Day. She Saves the World was a campaign we wrote, photographed, designed & built a few years ago to tell the stories of the Monitrices of Haiti. These women are the bedrock of their communities—respected, honored and highly valued by all we spoke to—and work tirelessly to eradicate childhood malnutrition in the rural mountain villages of southern Haiti. We walked away from this project deeply impacted by their character and fervor for their work—and the care and strength they give to all the families they serve.
