Visual Diary Entry 1

Another part of the CMH2LAX series is a visual diary series I started. This exploration of the series is mostly type driven with some iconography usage for certain elements. The first entry is the beginning of my journey from my hometown of Columbus, Ohio to Los Angeles, California.

I used minimal color and a water technique to give a more hand done and tactile aesthetic to the piece. For this series, I wanted to use minimal color and specific tonal ranges to illustrate the kaleidoscope of emotions throughout the period of my leaving home and the interview process for the job that brought me to Los Angeles.
