In Over My Head

I couldn't think of anything for my coaster design, so I decided to use one of the ideas I had been playing around with mentally for awhile. I really love ocean imagery and had this idea of looking down at someone who was underwater, looking up at me.

As I thought about it, I figured it might make a cool illustration to have peeking up at you from under your glass. the figure originally had long hair (see attachments) but he got a haircut to cut down on visual confusion.

I designed the rings slightly off kilter to reflect the tilted, worms eye view I used on the figure. I love comics and I wanted to give it a pulpy feel.
