2020 Presidential Campaign Tracker

Mockup for recently completed work for the Nevada Independent. They're building a tool to track presidential candidate visits to Nevada throughout the campaign trail.

I put together some wireframes and exploratory work along with the business requirements in Figma. This is the first pass at a polished interface in Figma.

The map's custom theme comes from www.maptiler.com, which I used specifically with the intent of Leaflet (thesite already has Leaflet as a dependency). The CTO and I are going to start rolling this up in their React front-end this week.

The map uses multi-colored clusters to show which political parties are visiting where, and how frequently. Interacting with the candidate cards or filters up top will modify the map's contents to reflect the user's querying. Visits are marked by a card-based timeline, sorted by most recent (with _or_ without city/candidate/date-range filters applied).
