Growth Mindset: Election Tab

Like any creative person, it's tough for me to look at any of my work that's more than a year or so old without cringing. Such is the case with much of my newspaper design (which won me multiple awards; go figure). I'm embarking upon a (fun?) exercise taking some of my "best" past work and redoing it as best I can.

First up is a 2014 election guide for the Brown County Democrat, a small weekly newspaper in southern Indiana. I'd like to imagine if I still worked there today, I'd produce something like this for the upcoming primary election. I took some liberties and shrunk the size; the press operators can make that work, right?
