Wonderfully Shredded

Detail shot of a personal piece I finished up last night. I need to just go pro so I can share the full piece. If you want to see it all in the meantime, check out my Instagram feed (same username, linked in my profile).

It was inspired by this old photo of Linda Carter in skate boarding gear laughing behind the scenes with some kids on the set of the Wonder Woman tv show. I was like, "Man, I would love to draw Wonder Woman skateboarding."

From there I tried to imagine what she might dress like, and how to make her clothing still reflect her costume without being a costume. I've also been playing around a lot with color blocking and limiting my palette, so I pushed that too.

I'm really happy with it and may print it out and sell a couple. The plan is that this is the first in a series. Two other heroes missing from the DC extreme sports trinity... ;)
